Sarah Kay Penaflor Montuya is a 39-year-old married mother of three children (aged 15, 13, and 6) residing in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan. She is the eldest among five siblings, with two brothers and two sisters. Her 60-year-old mother works as a vendor, and her father is deceased. She completed her secondary education at Banaoang National High School in 2003. Shortly after graduating, she worked as a service crew member from 2004 to 2008, gaining valuable customer service and work experience. She got married in 2010 to her husband, who currently works as a Grab driver. Since marrying, she dedicated herself as a hands-on mother managing her family and household. From October 2016 to December 2020, Sarah worked as a domestic worker in Saudi Arabia for an Arab family living in a two-storey, three-bedroom house. During this four-year placement, she worked alongside her husband, who was employed as the family's driver. She managed the household for a couple and their three children (aged 4, 2, and a newborn born in 2020). Her duties encompassed full-scope housekeeping—including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and cooking—alongside dedicated childcare duties such as feeding, bathing, preparing school items, playing with the children, and ensuring their daily safety. Sarah is highly skilled in caring for children from infancy through young ages. She is also open to looking after mobile elderly individuals, drawing from personal experience caring for her late 63-year-old father-in-law. She is confident in cooking Filipino and simple Arab dishes, adept at following recipes, and eager to learn new international cuisines. Additionally, she is willing to assist with pet care, basic gardening, and car washing. Upon selection, Sarah is prepared to complete the OWWA seminar and all required POEA deployment documentation.
