RESIA TURBOLENCIA SAMAS, is 33-year-old, married to a 38-year-old, government employee and they were blessed to have a 6 year old son. A resident of Catanduanes. She is the eldest child among 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Her 55-year-old father and her 54-year-old mother both managed their small convenient store. And she completed her secondary education at Caramoran School of Fisheries in 2007. Then she pursued her college education took up a degree in Elementary Education until 1st year and shifted her course to a 2 year computer programming at Cantaduanes School of Advanced Technology and graduated in year 2012. She had a non-domestic work experience as a factory worker from May – October 2015. Currently, she is working, managing her household, and enjoying looking after her son while waiting for her application in Singapore to be selected. She had her domestic work employment experiences abroad, as follows. 1. QATAR (2015 – 2018) She was hired by an Arab family living in a 6 bedroom 2 storey house , with the mother of 2 adult children, and a 1 year grandchild. Her employer has 5 other adult children which already have their own family and only visiting from time to time. Her employer hired 2 maids and they both share responsibilities including looking after the child. 2. SAUDI ARABIA (Apr 2023 –May 2025) She was selected to serve a Arab family living in a 3 storey house, with a couple, 2 adult children ages 24,21 and children ages 17 and 14. She worked as an all-around helper, doing all general household chores, including keeping the house clean, doing the laundry, and basic cooking and assisted in the daily needs of the children. This applicant is confident in looking after young children as she is confident in performing her basic duties such as preparing meals, feeding, bathing, changing clothes, and including educational activities and supervision. With her more than 5 years of experience, she is proficient in performing a wide array of household chores such as vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and cooking. She is confident in preparing Filipino dishes and has also learned basic Arab dishes and can follow recipe and still willing to learn more other foreign cuisines if given the opportunity. She is also keen to look after elderly people , and willing to undergo training if necessary. Aside from these, she is willing to do gardening, if needed. This applicant can be deployed sooner as she is exempted from the training seminar, and she only needs to comply with other documentation as required by the Philippines Overseas Employment Administration for the deployment of OFW.
