About Pamela Ortizo Severino
Pamela Ortizo Severino is a dedicated 29-year-old mother of a three year old child from Roxas City, Philippines. Raised in a close-knit family, Pamela is the eldest child and has one younger brother. Her family’s strong work ethic is reflected in her upbringing, supported by her 52-year-old father, who works as a driver, and her 51-year-old mother, who manages their home as a housewife. Today, Pamela shares a home with her common-law partner, and together they are raising their child. Driven by a strong foundation, Pamela completed her secondary education at Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion in 2013. Eager to pursue a career in service and hospitality, she enrolled in a degree program for Hotel and Restaurant Management. She successfully completed her studies up to her fourth year, gaining valuable formal training in food preparation, hygiene, and organizational management. Although financial constraints eventually prevented her from finishing her final degree, her academic background in hospitality laid a solid groundwork for her practical skill set. Pamela’s domestic work experience in the Philippines from 2018 to 2019, when she served a relative’s family in a spacious two-storey, six-bedroom household. Working as a stay-out helper from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, she was responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the large residence, managing the family’s daily laundry and ironing, and preparing meals. In addition to her housekeeping duties, she provided attentive care and assistance to an elderly couple, aged 72 and 71, who were mobile but required daily support alongside two adult children living in the home. Following the birth of her own child in 2023, Pamela embraced full-time motherhood, further deepening her firsthand expertise in childcare. Beyond her domestic roles, she expanded her professional background through commercial service work, working as a service crew member and currently as a dishwasher since 2024. Drawing from both her hands-on parenting and formal domestic experience, Pamela is exceptionally well-suited to care for families with newborns, young children, or elderly members. She is skilled in preparing meals, bathing, feeding, and managing the routine needs of growing children, while also being proficient in home upkeep and laundry. Strong in cooking Filipino cuisine, she is eager and open to learning new foreign recipes to meet the needs of her prospective employer. After selection, FDW will undergo OWWA seminar and other documentation as required by Philippines Overseas Employment Administration for the deployment of the OFW.
