About Maria Isabel Salud Lopez
Maria Isabel Salud Lopez is a 41-year-old certified caregiver from Sampaloc, Manila. She is happily married to a 45-year-old sales agent, and together they are raising two children, aged 16 and 11. Maria Isabel is the youngest among four siblings. Her father, now 68 years old, is a retired farmer, while her mother has passed away. She completed her secondary education at La Salette of Cabatuan in the year 2000. She then pursued a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Araullo University, graduating in 2004. Her educational background helped her develop a strong sense of organization, service, and attention to detail—skills that later proved valuable in caregiving. Maria Isabel became a certified caregiver in 2023, after completing formal training from a TESDA-accredited institution. Her passion for providing care was inspired by her personal experiences with family and her years of work in healthcare and service. Before focusing full-time on caregiving, Maria Isabel managed their family-owned rice trading business from August 2014 to February 2025, where she honed her management, communication, and multitasking skills. Additionally, she worked as a nursing attendant at a hospital, where she was assigned to service 32 rooms—including 10 private and 23 public ward rooms. Her responsibilities included changing bed linens and diapers, assisting with hygiene, administering medication, monitoring vital signs, catheter drainage, and patient exercise routines. This experience gave her valuable, hands-on medical exposure and a deep understanding of patient care. Since March 2025, Maria Isabel has been working as a stay-out caregiver for a 75-year-old female elder recovering from knee surgery and living with hypertension. Her tasks include assisting with bathing, meal preparation and cooking, medication management, and accompanying the client during walks and exercise sessions. She approaches her care-giving role with patience, empathy, and professionalism. She is comfortable preparing simple Filipino dishes and is eager to learn and adapt to other foreign cuisines to meet the dietary preferences of her future employers. Maria Isabel is now looking for an opportunity to work overseas, particularly as a Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) with a focus on elderly care. Once selected, she will undergo a one-week In-House Private Training in Manila (TESDA-accredited) followed by the OWWA seminar, prior to the processing of her Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC). With her strong caregiving background, healthcare experience, business management skills, and nurturing personality, Maria Isabel is well-prepared to provide responsible, compassionate, and dedicated care to those who need it most.
