About Lyca Tibon Alinsug

Lyca Tibon Alinsug is a 27-year-old certified caregiver from Mandaue City, Cebu. She is the youngest among three siblings. Her father, aged 55, is a retired farmer, and her 51-year-old mother is a full-time housewife. Raised in a humble and loving family, Lyca was taught the values of compassion, patience, and responsibility—qualities that have shaped her path in caregiving and service. She completed her secondary education at St. Paul College Foundation in 2014 and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Cebu in 2018. That same year, she passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers, earning her professional license in teaching. While her academic background is in education, Lyca's passion for caring for others, especially the elderly and those with special needs, became her true calling. From April 2018 to April 2020, she worked as a live-in caregiver for an 88-year-old male elder with prostate cancer, where she assisted with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and laundry. To strengthen her skills and pursue caregiving as a profession, Lyca underwent formal Caregiving Training in 2023 and became a TESDA-certified caregiver in 2025. As part of her training, she completed her on-the-job training (OJT) in two specialized areas: Elderly care at a Home for the Aged in Danao, Cebu Child care and Special Needs assistance in Mabolo, Cebu In 2024, Lyca further enhanced her qualifications by completing training in Standard First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), and CPR with AED, equipping her with life-saving emergency response skills. Beyond caregiving, Lyca has also built a solid foundation in professional and administrative work. She served as an AML Compliance Analyst at a local pawnshop from August 2020 to March 2022, and then worked as an Admin and Facilitation Associate from June 2022 to June 2024. Currently, she is employed as an Administrative Assistant since August 2024, while preparing for potential overseas employment. She is confident in cooking simple Filipino dishes and is open and eager to learn new cuisines, especially those preferred by foreign employers. Respectful, adaptable, and dependable, Lyca is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of the people she cares for. She is currently applying for a position as a Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) in Singapore, with a focus on elderly or special needs care. Once selected, Lyca will undergo a one-week In-House Private Training in Manila (TESDA-accredited) and attend the required OWWA seminar before the processing of her Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC). With a strong blend of educational background, hands-on caregiving experience, first aid and emergency training, and a heart dedicated to service, Lyca Tibon Alinsug is fully prepared to deliver responsible, compassionate, and professional care to her future employer and their family.
