About Joyce Ann Mendoza Ramirez
Joyce Ann Mendoza Ramirez was born and raised in Quezon City, Philippines. 37 years old, recently married to a kind and hardworking man who works as a family driver. They are just beginning their journey together, with dreams of building a better life for their future family. Joyce grew up in a simple, loving household as the fourth child among five siblings—two brothers and two sisters. Her parents, now both 69 years old, dedicated their lives to government service before retiring. She was taught the importance of respect, honesty, and hard work—values that she carries with her in everything she does. After finishing high school at Batasan Hills National High School in 2005, followed her dream of becoming a nurse. She was able to study Nursing up to my fourth year in college. Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, She wasn’t able to complete the course. Still, her time in nursing school gave her valuable knowledge about health care and child care, which helped her a lot in both life and work. Before going abroad, She worked locally as a cashier in several establishments. These jobs, which I held from September 2014 – July 2015 / January 2017 – August 2018 / October 2018 – March 2020 / October 2024 – June 2025. These taught her how to deal with people, handle responsibility, and manage time under pressure. In May 2016 to Nov 2016, I took a leap of faith and accepted a job in TAIWAN, worked for a Taiwanese family in a large three-storey home with six bedrooms. The couple, an elderly 60 year old male elder who had a stroke and a two-year-old child, and I was trusted to help look after the child while also doing cleaning and laundry. It was my first time working overseas, and it taught me to be strong, independent, and adaptable. Later, from September 2022 to September 2024, she worked in OMAN for an Omani family with four young children, ages 10, 7, 2, and 1. The household was big—three storeys and five bedrooms—and she served as an all-around helper. She was responsible for cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking, and most importantly, caring for the children. At present, she is focusing on her application and helping with household chores at home while waiting for an opportunity to work in Singapore. She hopes to continue working abroad so she can support my husband and help provide for our future. Over the years, she have become confident in caring for infants and young children—from feeding and bathing to preparing meals, changing clothes, and guiding them in learning activities. I also take pride in my ability to manage the home, from cooking Filipino dishes, cleaning, doing laundry and ironing, to organizing spaces and maintaining a peaceful household. And am always open to learning and am willing to try new recipes, especially if given a chance to work in a home with different food traditions.
