FLORENDA FALCUTAN JALANDONI is a 42-year-old single woman and a resident of Miag-ao, Iloilo. She is the youngest among three siblings, with one brother and one twin sister. Both of her parents have already passed away. Growing up, she learned to be independent, responsible, and hardworking, qualities that have helped her build a successful career as a domestic worker both locally and overseas. She completed her secondary education at Miag-ao National High School in 2003. Although she did not pursue higher education, she has gained extensive practical knowledge and valuable skills through her years of employment as a domestic helper. Her domestic work employments are: Saudi Arabia from 2021 to 2023, where she worked for an Arab family living in a two-storey, five-bedroom house occupied by a couple and their three children aged 21, 20, and 19. Her primary responsibilities included maintaining the cleanliness of the entire house, doing the laundry, ironing clothes, and ensuring the household was always neat and well organized. Through this experience, she became efficient in managing household chores independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Philippines from 2024 to 2025, she worked in the Philippines for a Filipino family residing in a two-storey, two-bedroom landed property with a couple and their three children aged 18, 15, and 7. She served as an all-around helper responsible for general housekeeping, laundry, ironing, cooking, and caring for the children's daily needs. She prepared meals, assisted the youngest child with daily routines, ensured the children's safety and comfort, and maintained a clean and organized home. This experience strengthened her childcare skills and her ability to manage multiple household responsibilities efficiently. Singapore from February 2026 to present, she is working for a Chinese family living in a five-room HDB flat consisting of a couple, a 75-year-old female elderly person, and four children aged 13-year-old twins, 9, and 7. Her main responsibility was providing dedicated care for the elderly family member who suffered from kidney disease, asthma, and diabetes. She assisted with the elderly's daily personal care, prepared meals according to dietary requirements, administered assistance with daily activities, accompanied her when necessary, and closely monitored her condition. In addition to elderly care, she performed general household duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and assisting with the children's needs whenever required. Her employment ended due to the unfortunate passing of the elderly person under her care. With several years of local and overseas experience, Florenda has become a dependable and trustworthy domestic worker who is confident in handling household management, childcare, and elderly care. She is capable of caring for toddlers, and young children by preparing their meals, feeding, bathing, changing clothes, preparing school necessities, supervising their activities, playing with them, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. She is equally willing to continue caring for elderly persons and is eager to receive further training in providing direct nursing care should the opportunity arise. Her compassionate nature, patience, and dedication make her well-suited for both childcare and eldercare responsibilities. She enjoys cooking and is confident in preparing a variety of Filipino dishes. She is also able to follow recipe books and enthutiastic to learn other foreign dishes. Aside from her regular household duties, she is willing to perform additional tasks such as gardening, pet care, and car washing whenever necessary. She hopes to continue working in Singapore to provide a better future for herself and to remain a reliable, hardworking, and loyal domestic helper for her future employer.
