Ana Mae Alecto Fernando is a 26-year-old Filipina from Pototan, Iloilo. She is a devoted wife to a 30-year-old public school teacher and a hands-on mother to their 5-year-old child. Despite her young age, Ana Mae carries with her a strong sense of responsibility and maturity, rooted in her desire to provide a better future for her own family. She is the second of three daughters in a hardworking Filipino family. Her father, now 52, works as a tricycle driver, while her mother, 48, is currently employed overseas in Hong Kong as a domestic helper. Growing up with a parent working abroad, Ana Mae witnessed firsthand the sacrifices that come with the profession, and it has deeply inspired her to follow the same path. Ana Mae completed her secondary education at Rufino G. Palabrica Sr. National High School in 2018. Determined to continue her education, she pursued a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and studied up to her second year. However, she had to put her studies on hold due to financial challenges within the family. Despite this setback, she never lost hope and remained focused on supporting her loved ones. In 2020, Ana Mae began working to contribute to her household’s needs. She worked as a sales lady from April 2020 to March 2021, and then as a cashier from June 2021 to August 2022. These experiences developed her interpersonal skills, sense of discipline, and ability to adapt in a work environment. Her maid employment experience ; PHILIPPINES (October 2022 - July 2025), Ana Mae is a full-time domestic helper for a Filipino family in the Philippines. She was employed in a 3-bedroom bungalow home with a couple and their three children, aged 17, 6, and 9. The 9-year-old child stayed with her aunt on weekdays and only returned home on weekends, so Ana Mae focused primarily on household duties and caring for the 6-year-old child. She managed cleaning, laundry, cooking, and childcare as an all-around helper, all on her own. Through this role, Ana Mae grew confident in her ability to care for children of various ages. She is particularly skilled and has passion for cooking Filipino dishes and is open to learning new cuisines. She can easily follow recipes, both written and verbal, and is willing to undergo training to improve her cooking or caregiving skills further. She is also open to performing other tasks such as elderly care, pet care, gardening, and general household management. Her patience, flexibility, and willingness to learn make her a reliable and adaptable worker. Currently, Ana Mae is focused on caring for her young child while waiting for an opportunity to work in Singapore. With her family-oriented mindset, practical work experience, and strong motivation, Ana Mae is eager to support her loved ones by serving a kind and respectful employer abroad. She hopes to find a long-term placement where she can grow both personally and professionally, while delivering trustworthy service to her future employer.
