Suniah is a 27-year-old divorced Muslim from Indonesia with two daughters aged 9 and 4 years old. She has two years of elderly care experience in Singapore. Suniah understands limited basic English and is willing and keen to improve her English-speaking skills. From 2024 to 2026, Suniah worked for a Malay family consisting of Sir, Ma'am, 75-year-old Ah Mah, and 77-year-old Ah Gong. Ah Mah suffered from swollen leg, while Ah Gong had weak legs. Her responsibilities included assisting Ah Mah with medication, applying medicated cream to her legs, providing mobility support, ensuring fall prevention, and accompanying her for hospital visits and leg therapy sessions. After six months, Ah Mah passed away, and Suniah continued caring for Ah Gong. She assisted him with medication reminders, mobility support whenever required, and fall prevention measures. Although Ah Gong was generally independent in his daily activities, he occasionally needed assistance. Besides elderly care, Suniah also managed housekeeping for a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom HDB flat and prepared daily meals for the household. Suniah is able to cook simple home-style Malay and Indonesian dishes and has experience preparing meals suitable for elderly family members. She understands the importance of healthy cooking and prepared meals with less sugar, salt, and oil while ensuring the food had a softer texture that was easier to chew and digest. She can follow recipes and is willing to learn Chinese cooking and pork dishes to meet her future employer's preferences. Suniah is familiar with the working environment and expectations of local households. She is interview-ready and eager to return to Singapore to continue supporting a family with dedication and a positive attitude. She hopes to secure long-term employment where she can contribute her experience, continue learning, and build a good working relationship with her future employer.
