Maribel Gubsi Tallong

Maribel Gubsi Tallong is a 32-year-old single mother with one 11-year-old son. She currently resides in Taguig City, Philippines. She is the third child among four siblings, with two brothers and one sister. Her father, aged 79, is a farmer, while her mother, aged 60, is a housewife. She completed her secondary education at Concepcion Adventist Academy in 2010. She pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology but was only able to study up to her second year due to financial constraints. To further enhance her skills in the healthcare field, she completed a Caregiving course in 2024. At present, she is actively seeking employment while waiting for the approval of her application for Singapore. Maribel has gained a mix of caregiving and service-oriented work experience. From 2020 to 2021, she worked as a hotel crew, where she developed skills in housekeeping, cleanliness, and customer service. She then worked as a nursing assistant from 2023 to 2024, where she gained hands-on experience in assisting patients with their daily needs. From 2024 to 2025, she worked in a caregiving facility as a caregiver, where she was assigned to different clients depending on their needs. Her responsibilities included assisting elderly patients with daily living activities such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and providing companionship. In addition, from 2022 to 2023, she worked locally as a stay-out caregiver for a 68-year-old Filipino female elder. She assisted with daily activities, including bathing, feeding, and attending to the elder’s overall needs. With her experience and as a mother herself, Maribel is confident in providing care for newborns and young children. She is knowledgeable in feeding, grooming, and engaging children through play and proper supervision. She is also capable of performing household chores efficiently. She can cook Filipino dishes and is able to follow recipes with ease.
