Laarni Estepa Hulog is a 38-year-old Filipina from Naguilian, La Union. She is a devoted wife to a 47-year-old farmer and a proud mother of three children, aged 20, 16, and 10. As a hands-on mother and homemaker, Laarni has always placed her family at the center of her life. Her strong sense of responsibility and desire to provide a better future for her children have been her greatest motivation in seeking work opportunities both locally and abroad. Laarni comes from a humble and hardworking family. She is the fourth among five siblings, with two brothers and two sisters. Her father, now 68 years old, continues to work as a farmer, while her 65-year-old mother stays at home as a housewife. Growing up in a simple rural household taught Laarni the value of perseverance and hard work from a young age. She completed her secondary education at Naguilian National High School in 2004. Although she was unable to pursue further studies due to financial constraints, her determination never wavered. Instead, she focused on gaining practical life skills and building experience that would later become her foundation as a domestic worker and mother. Laarni's first formal domestic work experience began in the Philippines (2018–2020). She was employed by a local Filipino family living in a two-bedroom apartment. The family had two small children, aged five and three. As an all-around helper, Laarni managed the household chores such as cleaning, cooking, washing clothes, and ironing. She also played a significant role in childcare—preparing meals for the children, bathing and dressing them, and keeping them engaged in play and simple educational activities. Her experience as a mother made it easy for her to connect with the children and provide them with the care they needed. In August 2023 to October 2023, Laarni ventured abroad for the first time and worked in Saudi Arabia. She served an Arab family residing in a two-story home with two children. Her duties remained similar—maintaining cleanliness, managing laundry, and assisting in the care of the children. Despite the cultural differences and the new environment, Laarni adjusted quickly and carried out her responsibilities with dedication. Although her contract ended earlier than expected, she left with valuable overseas experience and a deeper understanding of working in a foreign household. Through both her local and overseas employment, Laarni has proven to be a reliable, capable, and nurturing domestic worker. She is especially confident in caring for young children and performing all-around household tasks. She takes pride in her cooking, particularly Filipino dishes, and is eager to learn other cuisines if given the opportunity. Currently, Laarni is at home in Naguilian, caring for her children and managing their household as she awaits her next opportunity—this time, with hopes of working in Singapore. She is exempted from the pre-departure training seminar and only needs to complete a few remaining documents for deployment, making her available for work soon. With her strong family values, solid work experience, and a heart dedicated to service, Laarni is ready to bring her skills and compassio
