Ivy Lambiguit Pagal is a 40-year-old single mother from Cagayan de Oro City, devoted to raising her two children, now aged 18 and 11. She is the second child among seven siblings — growing up with five brothers and one sister in a hardworking and humble household. Her 67-year-old father is a retired driver, while her mother, aged 61, is a full-time housewife. Ivy draws her strength and determination from her family and her children, who inspire her every day to work toward a better life. She completed her secondary education at Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School in 2002. With a strong interest in healthcare, she pursued a 2-year course in Midwifery at the Mindanao Arts and Technological Institute, where she graduated in 2008. Never one to stop learning, Ivy returned to school and completed her Bachelor of Science in Midwifery at Tagoloan Community College, proudly graduating in 2021. Her educational journey is a testament to her persistence and dedication, especially while balancing motherhood and work. Ivy began working as a housekeeping attendant in a hotel from 2015 to 2016, where she developed strong skills in maintaining cleanliness, order, and customer service. In July 2018, she transitioned into her field of study, working as a midwife in a hospital. She was first assigned to the Medical-Surgical Ward until February 2021, then transferred to the Nuclear Medicine Unit, and later to the Delivery Room, where she continues to work up to the present. Her years in hospital service have given her a solid background in caregiving, patient handling, and emergency response. Although Ivy does not have formal experience as a domestic worker abroad, she has years of hands-on experience managing her own home. She confidently handles all household responsibilities — from cleaning and organizing to cooking and child-rearing. As a mother, she has firsthand experience caring for children of all ages, including meal preparation, bathing, dressing, feeding, and providing educational support and supervision. Her professional background in midwifery and caregiving also makes her a strong candidate for elderly care, especially for clients with medical conditions or requiring personal assistance. She is trained, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of others. Ivy is comfortable preparing Filipino dishes and is eager to learn more foreign recipes. In addition, she is open to performing gardening, car washing, and pet care duties when needed. Currently, Ivy continues her hospital work while waiting for her application to work in Singapore to be selected. She is determined to secure employment abroad in order to provide her children with a brighter and more stable future. Upon selection, Ivy will undergo a week of In-House Private Training in Manila (accredited by TESDA) and attend the OWWA seminar, prior to the processing of her Overseas Employment Certificate for deployment.
