Crisbel Ann Alejandro Saclayan is a 24-year-old single woman from Marcos, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She is the eldest among four siblings and has always taken on a leadership and caregiver role within her family. Raised in a modest household, Crisbel grew up understanding the value of hard work and sacrifice. Her father, 47 years old, works as a construction worker to help support their daily needs. Her mother, 45, is an overseas Filipino worker employed in Singapore as a domestic helper. With her mother working abroad for most of her teenage and adult life, Crisbel took on the responsibility of managing their home and caring for her three younger brothers. She became the second mother in the household—cooking, cleaning, and guiding her siblings while pursuing her education and part-time work. Crisbel completed her secondary education at Marcos National High School in 2018. Determined to build a better future, she enrolled in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strand at Data Center College of the Philippines and graduated in 2020. She later pursued a degree in Elementary Education and completed up to her third year. However, due to financial constraints brought on by the challenges of supporting her family, she was unable to finish her course. Despite this, Crisbel remained focused and continued to seek work opportunities. In 2025, she worked as a service crew member in a local food establishment from April to September, where she developed her communication skills and work ethic in a fast-paced environment. She also has relevant experience in domestic work. From February 2024 to January 2025, Crisbel was employed by a relative’s family in the Philippines as a stay-out all-around helper. The household consisted of one adult and an elderly couple, aged 66 and 68, both suffering from arthritis. Her duties included general household chores such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, ironing, and marketing. She also assisted the elderly with their daily routines, ensuring they were safe, comfortable, and well cared for. This experience strengthened her patience, reliability, and compassion—qualities essential for domestic work. Crisbel is confident in looking after young children, having helped raise her younger brothers. She is capable of feeding, bathing, changing clothes, preparing meals, supervising play and learning activities, and ensuring children's safety and well-being. She is skilled in performing various household tasks including cleaning, dishwashing, laundry, ironing, and cooking. She is familiar with Filipino dishes and is eager to learn other cuisines when given the opportunity. She is also willing to do gardening, car washing, and pet care if needed. Crisbel Ann Saclayan is a hardworking, humble, and responsible young woman. Her experiences at home and at work have shaped her into a mature and dependable individual, ready to take on the responsibilities of a domestic worker abroad to help her family and secure a better future.
